This guide will help you learn how to extract/load data from/to SugarCRM tables.

To configure SugarCRM connector,

  1. Drag-and-drop SugarCRM icon from Connectors section into Apatar's Visual Job Designer:

  2. Double-click on the node's icon.
  3. The SugarCRM Property window will pop up. Enter your SugarCRM password, username, and the URL to where SugarCRM Web services are stored on your server. The 'url' field should contain the link you use to access your SugarCRM via browser including http:// but with soap.php added to it. For example, if you access your SugarCRM at http://mysugarinstance.com, enter http://mysugarinstance.com/soap.php to the 'url' field.

  4. Press Next.
  5. Apatar will start verifying SugarCRM tables now: a window with a progress bar will appear. Pressing the Cancel button will abort reading tables and display only those of them that have already been verified. If you want to display the complete list of tables without verifying them, press Stop.

  6. Once the verification is over or stopped, choose the table with source data:

  7. Select the mode in which the transformation should run. (Click here to read about the difference between the modes.) If you select the Update mode, please also select the field(s) from the list that should be used as primary keys to define if a record already exists in the data target.

Make sure you map the fields selected as primary keys to input fields in an operation connecting your data source and data target.
  8. Click Finish.

The SugarCRM connector is now configured. If necessary, you can preview the entries of the selected SugarCRM table. To do so, right-click on the SugarCRM icon and choose Preview Results.

If you are writing to a MultiSelect field in SugarCRM, make sure incoming field values separated by ^,^. For example, the values available for the MultiSelect field are:

Telecom
Healthcare
Sports

and a record should have Healthcare and Sports selected. The incoming value should be 'Healthcare^,^Sports'

If values in your source are separated by some other character/set of characters, you can change the separator to ^,^ using Replace With function.
