To manage Amazon S3 objects and buckets with Apatar, you can use pre-created Amazon S3 DataMaps.

Please note that the names of Amazon S3 buckets/objects, as well as the names of your local files and folders, should be provided in Apatar connectors and nodes. Mainly, all the paths and file names are stored in Apatar Custom Table connector.

Also, you need to fill in your AWS Key and Secret Key in Amazon S3 connector to get connected to Amazon Web Services.


Create New Bucket

This DataMap is designed for creating a bucket at Amazon S3 web service.

    

To specify the name of the bucket, open Custom Table connector, then press "Next", and enter the name in the "Bucket" field.

    

    

Please note that your personal AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key should be provided in Amazon S3 connector.

    


Upload System Folder

This DataMap is designed for uploading files from your local folder to a bucket at Amazon S3 web service.

    

To change the name of the folder, open File System connector, and enter the path. To specify the name of Amazon S3 bucket, open Transform node, double-click on "Text Constant" object, and enter the bucket name. Please note that AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key should be provided in Amazon S3 connector.

    

If necessary, you can configure Apatar's [Scheduling] function to create the backup of your file system on a regular basis.


Upload Local File

This DataMap is designed for uploading your local file to Amazon S3 web service. To specify the path to the file, open Custom Table connector, then press "Next", and enter the full file name in the "Path" field. As well, fill in "Key" field to set the name of an uploaded object. Don't forget to enter the name of Amazon S3 bucket in the "Bucket" field. Please note that AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key should be provided in Amazon S3 connector.


Read Amazon S3 Object

This DataMap is designed for downloading an object from Amazon S3 web service, and saving it into your local file.

    

First, you need to specify the name of Amazon S3 bucket where your object is stored. To do so, open Custom Table connector, then press "Next", and enter the name in the "Bucket" field. As well, fill in "Key" field for the name of the object you want to download. Second, you need to specify the path to your system folder, where the object will be saved. Please, open File System node and change the location. Finally, note that AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key should be provided in Amazon S3 connector.


Get Bucket Information

This DataMap is designed for getting information on the content of a bucket at Amazon S3 web service. To specify the name of the bucket, open Custom Table connector, then press "Next", and enter the name in the "Bucket" field. As well, fill in "maxKeys" field for the number of objects to display. The "Prefix" field limits the response to keys (objects) which begin with the indicated prefix (letter). The "Marker" field indicates the keys (objects) that occur lexicographically after the marker. Please note that AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key should be provided in Amazon S3 connector.


Delete Amazon S3 Bucket

This DataMap is designed for deleting buckets at Amazon S3 web service. To specify the name of a bucket to delete, please open Custom Table connector, press "Next", and enter the bucket name. Please note that AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key should be provided in Amazon S3 connector.


Delete Amazon S3 Object

This DataMap is designed for deleting objects at Amazon S3 web service. To specify the name of an object to delete, open Custom Table connector, then press "Next", and enter the name of the object (the "Key" field), as well a the name of Amazon S3 bucket where your object is stored (the "Bucket" field). Please note that AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key should be provided in Amazon S3 connector.
