This guide will help you learn how to configure E-mail connector for reading or sending e-mails with Apatar.

Read mail

To start reading e-mails,

  1. Drag-and-drop the E-mail connector to Apatar's work panel and double-click on the connector
  2. Enter your e-mail login, password, and incoming mail server details (if necessary, change the incoming mail port and/or server type and tick 'use Ssl')

Please note that your login should be entered without domain name that goes after the @ (at) symbol.

  3. Click Next
  4. Set the number of allowed file attachments, which will be downloaded with Apatar

  5. If you want to have your messages deleted from the server once they are read, tick 'Remove messages from the server'
  6. If you set up an IMAP server, 'Retrieve unread mail only' will be active, If checked, Apatar will only read messages that are marked as unread.
  7. At this stage you can also set up filters to limit the number of records read from the server. For filters other than dates Apatar will be looking if a value entered is contained in the related email field (it will not look for exact matched). If there are several conditions set, they will be joint by AND (From 'info@apatar.com' AND subject contains 'news')
  8. Click Finish
  9. Now drag-and-drop the Transform node and target connector
  10. Map all three nodes together

  11. Configure the target connector
  12. Open the Transform window and map the corresponding fields

  13. Close the Transform window

Now you can run the process or preview output results.
