This guide will help you learn how to read/write data from/to XML files. The connector for XML requires a valid XML file either stored on your PC or on the Web.

Configuration

Drag-and drop the connector for XML to Apatar's work panel and follow these steps:

  1. Double-click on the connector to start configuring it.
  2. If you want to read data from a local file, enter the path to the file and have the readFromFile checkbox switched on.

    If you want read data from the Web, the readFromFile checkbox should be off. Just fill in the source URL.

  3. After you set the path or a link, click Next. In the Record Source window, you will see the list of available XML tables. You need to choose any to start reading data.

  4. Press Next. The window with the embedded XML fields should occur.

  5. Press Finish.

Now you can preview XML file entries or continue data integration.

Hi there,

I am very keen to see how this tool may be used to import XML into salesforce.com, but cannot see how this would be done.  Is there additional resource anywhere that could possibly be viewed?...

Hi!

You need to use Apatar Connector for SalesForce.com and Transform Operation .

Map them in Apatar's work panel:

SalesForce.com -> Transform -> XML

And then configure each node.

Configuration process is described in the guides I mentioned above.

p.s. Also, there are two SalesForce.com connector demos .

Hi, I am testing the program on a large XML file (http://epa.gov/enviro/geo_data.html), then download zip from site. Once one points the connector to the file with the read chosen, nothing happens. No tables are revealed. Is there a way to determine whether the program is processing the XML or has otherwise encountered a problem?
